This tour begins when we pick you up at your hotel early in the morning. We will head to the Caribbean area, while we move you can enjoy a light breakfast on board the transport, and at the same time you will observe the incredible journey through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you can see beautiful waterfalls from the road.
Once arriving at the Pavona dock, we will begin the great adventure of navigating through canals aboard a boat that will allow us to reach the town of Tortuguero. Here, you will take a more personalized canal tour where it is possible to observe egrets, monkeys, herons, jaguars, caimans, and other species of great importance. After this activity a delicious lunch will be waiting for you. You will then take a walk through the town and learn about its history. During this tour, you will be able to observe a beach with strong waves and gray sand where a variety of turtles lay their eggs, the most frequent season of this activity is the second and third week of September.
After finishing this itinerary, we will take the water transportation back to the Pavona dock take the bus and return to San Jose around 7:30 p.m. Travel times are a close approximation, if you want a detailed timetable check with your guide, and it will be a pleasure to help you.
